The MEAL Assistant supports the implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) activities at base level through conducting field monitoring visits, data collection, assessments, and beneficiary engagement. The role contributes to improving programme quality by gathering accurate information, documenting findings, supporting accountability mechanisms, and ensuring compliance with MEAL standards and protocols. Objective 1 : Plan field visits and data collection needs as per the MEAL Minimum standards and the information needs of the mission • Provide bi-weekly Action Plan for MEAL Officer, and report achievements • Make the necessary arrangements before the field visits: study the area (secondary sources analysis, follow-up access with facilitation letters, arrange meetings and discussions with key informants/partners, etc.) • Follow up proactively with program, technical and logistic teams to ensure MEAL movement plan submitted and approved on weekly basis. • Coordinate with MEAL colleagues and Technical teams to plan field visits based on implementation milestones and key phases • Support research activities, field-based evidence collection, and human-interest stories and testimonies under the MEAL – ADV approach with guidance from the MEAL Officer / MEAL Manager Objective 2 : Ensure routine monitoring of projects & ensure findings are timely shared with Technical and Program Department for utilisation to improve quality of interventions and learn • Supervise daily workers teams of field monitors as per protocols • Perform monitoring of activities in the locations where project activities are implemented as per MEAL plan / minimum standards and ad-hoc requests of Program Department • Perform post-completion monitoring/evaluation in the locations where project activities are implemented as per MEAL plan / minimum standards, to measure impact of ACF intervention in Syria • Provide a report on the activity monitored / evaluated, systematically documenting best practices, grey areas, conclusions and recommendations • Feed MEAL department with successes observed and challenges encountered in the field, lessons learnt and recommendations on best practices • Work with the MEAL department to ensure documentation of key achievements, best practices, success stories, beneficiaries’ stories etc. with other departments through different mediums (picture
المتطلبات
University degree (Bachelor's degree) in Social Sciences or a related field. - Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience in assessments, field monitoring, data collection and verification, - conducting interviews and questionnaires, and report writing. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). - Experience with Kobo/ODK and other data collection tools is an asset. Knowledge of Power BI and GIS is desirable. - Good communication skills in Arabic and English. - Previous humanitarian sector experience, particularly in FSL, WASH, Nutrition, or Health, is an asset. Our remuneration package: Contract period: 6 months Salary/benefits: According to Action Against Hunger's salary scale and terms and conditions.
